Monique + Dan Wedding……Part III

I hope you enjoy all the incredible food and wonderful smiles!

Monique’s dancing shoes which I absolutely LOVE!

Monique + Dan Wedding…..Part II

We’re back with some more shots of their amazing Crosley Estate wedding.  We honestly have had such a hard time narrowing down to these few.  We’ll be back tomorrow to share more food and reception shots, including Monique and Dan cutting the cake.  But first I wanted to share a list of all the vendors who made our work easy and beautiful:

Nicole Kaney - NK Productions

Tiger Lily - floral designers

Michaels on East - caterer

Affairs in the Air - lighting

Plant Parents - trees

Jennifer Leigh and Her New Digs - band

Brett Culp Films - videography

And now for a sneak peak of tomorrow’s post………………….

Part I - Monique + Dan = Crosley Estate Wedding

We had the pleasure of photographing Monique & Dan’s incredible wedding which was beautifully orchestrated by Nicole Kaney of NK Productions, at the Crosley Estate in Sarasota, FL.   There are a lot of details to share, as well as, special moments so we’ve decided to post over the course of several days.  Here’s a sneak peak and we promise on Part II to share with you the gorgeous ceremony, amazing decor and of course the wonderful food!  (Plus we’ll share the great vendors who helped make the day very special for Monique, Dan, their families and friends.)  But for now, enjoy Part I……

Monique + Dan on a quiet Sarasota Beach

Recently we met Monique and Dan at Lido Beach for a sunrise pre-wedding session.  Below are some of our favorite B & W shots from the session.    Enjoy!

Wendy, Carl and Roxie = Some Just Because Fun

We had a fun session in Naples recently with Wendy & Carl.  They brought adorable little Roxie and as you’ll see she easily got into her ‘diva’ role; posing perfectly on cue.   Thanks Wendy and Carl for a great time!

We did some cool shots on the bricks but for some reason this is one of my favorites as they were getting up.  I love how the sunlight is highlighting Wendy’s face.

Featured on Destination Weddings & Honeymoons

We’re so excited and honored to have Jessica & Jay’s St. Croix wedding featured.  You can check out their wedding on Destination Weddings & Honeymoons as well as the Editor’s blog features even more photos.  Thanks so much to Rebecca and her fabulous team!

Athena + Brandon = Beautiful Beach Wedding

Athena & Brandon had a beautiful Lido Beach wedding March 14, 2009.  All the details were perfect with a seaside, beach theme.  The reception was held at The Ritz Carlton Sarasota and it was such a pleasure working with Katherine again.  Here are a few detail and ceremony pictures but you’ll have to check back to see some fun, amazing reception shots.  Thanks Athena & Brandon for selecting us to document your wedding…it was an honor!

Athena only had her mom and older sister assist her with her gown.  It gave them a few moments together which I loved capturing.

The two adorable flower girls!

I love this shot of Brandon waiting; the sky was gorgeous!

Happy Valentine’s Day

As I was considering everything I wanted to say in today’s post, I did a little research and found some interesting facts.

1 - The name Valentine is derived from the latin word ‘valens’ which means worthy.

2 - There are actually several martyred saints with the name Valentine in ancient Rome.

3 - The feast of St. Valentine was first established in 496 by Pope Gelasius I.  When speaking about saints, including Valentine, he said “…..whose names are justly reverenced among men, but whose acts are known only to God.”

I was all ready to post about some of our wonderful couples over the past several years but instead I’ve decided to simply say……..I wish everyone a wonderful day.  Whether you’re married, engaged, dating or single.  Everyone is worthy of small acts of kindness and what better day than on a day that celebrates LOVE.

P.S. - To whom did you show love and kindness?  Let us know how you celebrated today.
