Sneak Peak of Jessica & Victor’s Beach Wedding

Here’s a peak into their beautiful beach wedding in Sarasota, FL.  They were married at sunset on a private beach near St. Armand’s Circle & it was a perfect day.  The heat and humidity took a break for the day & gave them a gorgeous sunset.  Everyone really had a great time & we were thrilled they had asked us to photograph their wedding.  We’re currently sitting in the Charlotte airport waiting for our next flight working on these BUT we wanted to get a couple up so everyone could see how beautiful they were!  Have a great honeymoon you two & we’ll talk soon.

Email & Site Problems

If you try to reach us today we may not receive your email since it’s been up and down today.  If you don’t hear back from us in 24 hours, please drop us another note.  We’re very sorry for the inconvenience but it’s out of our hands.

Also please be aware that we’re headed to Venice Italy for a wedding so we’ll be on limited internet access.  We will be checking emails and uploading stuff to the blog as much as possible.  So check back here next week for lots of amazing images!

Venice, FL - Day 3

Why the random pictures of Venice, FL?  Well we have a wedding next week in Venice, Italy so in preparation for it, we thought we’d do a few comparisons of Venice, Florida & Venice, Italy. Check back each day this week to see what we’ve discovered.  Enjoy & feel free to leave us a comment or suggestion.

Here’s the theatre on the island.  They have a great group of actors and some really good performances.  No opera that I’ve seen but it’s fine, at least there’s a theatre in town.  Oh and there is a movie theatre off the island (if you’re wondering).  Just one though.

Venice, FL - Day 2

So this is the one and only ‘Grand Canal’ here in Venice, FL.  Not much more to say.  In sticking with finding the positives, even though it leaves a lot for me to love and desire, it does have some nice walking paths, they allow dogs on them, and it’s great for the natural habitat.  But it does remind me daily that I am an urban girl.

Venice, FL - DAY 1

In preparation for our upcoming wedding in Venice, Italy, we thought we’d share some interesting & unique things about our town, Venice, Florida. Check back each day this week to see what we’ve discovered.  Then next week, while we’re in Venice, Italy we thought we’d post the similiarities of our sister city. (as much as our internet access will allow us) Enjoy & feel free to leave us a comment or suggestion.

So here’s where the main action in Venice, FL happens.  It’s a small beach town but we have a nice, clean, relaxing downtown.  During the winter season it’s packed with tourist and we do have some nice art festivals here.

Would you do it?

o I’ve been a fan of Rachael’s blog http://blackeiffel.blogspot.com/ and when I came across her recent post “El Camino Del Ray”, I had to share it.  I mean, I love adventure but only to a point.  Doing this, this is beyond my limit but I admire those that do it.  So there I was, watching it, freaking out and I had to ask my son, “would you do this?  and at what cost?”  He immediately started saying how cool it was, and of course he’d do it just for the thrill.  I guess thrill for me has a price.  So my question to you, ‘Would you do this?  And at what cost?’  Watch it and leave a comment below because I’d love to hear what others had to say.

Happy Mother’s Day

Today has been a great day with my kids.  It’s hard once they’re teens to block time together as a whole family but it’s great on days like today when we can.  I’m so proud of Victoria & Patrick; they’re amazing young adults and I hope they achieve every goal they dream, even when it’s hard work to achieve it.  I think that’s the thing I’ll look back on & know we did a good job raising them; when they don’t give up on their dreams, even if it means, through self discovery that they alter the path some.  As mothers we strive hard to teach them all the little things in life, just to be self sufficient but it’s the other stuff that matters the most.  Things like acceptance, tolerance, kindness, compassion and love are what we really want them to learn from us the most even when we focus more on cleaning their rooms, picking up after themselves, etc.  So to my kids I am honored to be your mother & value your friendships.  And to my own mother, thank you for everything you taught me and I’m glad for the friend you’ve become.

Katelynn’s Senior Session

Last week we went out with Katelynn & had a great time shooting her senior session. She actually graduates in May but she’s been busy doing duel enrollment with high school & college classes. She was a lot of fun & kept us laughing. Enjoy Katelynn!
